The people that manage the Tidewater Chapter are made up of vendors, users, consultants, systems integraters and more. They are employed in government and commercial sector jobs. The one thing they all have in common is the belief that supporting their ARMA chapter is important enough to volunteer their valuable time. Since February 2009, Sarah Quisenberry has served as Director Information Governance responsible for implementation of the Records Management Program, the e-discovery team to ensure accurate and complete collection of data and information in response to litigation, the Data Loss Prevention program to ensure data privacy is protected and access to personal and financial data is authorized, and legal billing in the Law Department at Norfolk Southern Corporation. Quisenberry marked her 26th anniversary with Norfolk Southern in October 2017. During her career she has worked in the Strategic Planning Department, on the Conrail merger team, and in the Casualty Claims department. Prior to NS, she worked for The Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, CT. Quisenberry received her MBA from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at The College of William and Mary. She graduated cum laude with a BSBA from The E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at The University of Richmond. She is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor Society. She earned her ARM (Associate Risk Management) certification from the Insurance Institute of America.
Susan is the Records Manager for the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their program provides services for all city departments, court operations and the school district. The Virginia Beach program consists of four full-time and two contract employees who manage approximately 1,100 records requests per month in addition to records destruction, transfers, and training. Susan has been with the City of Virginia Beach since 1994 and joined the Records Management program in 2006. Susan has been a member of the Tidewater Chapter of ARMA International since 2006, has served as the Chapter Secretary in the past and participates on several chapter committees.
Michele is the Records Management Administrator for Hampton Roads Transit. Michele manages the active, inactive, and archival records and serve as the overall records expert for Hampton Roads Transit. She also represents HRT as the Records Officer to the Library of Virginia. Michele has 25 years of experience in positions in Records Management and Technical/Business Libraries. While in the Tidewater ARMA Chapter she has served as President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past President and on many committees.
Michele has been a member of ARMA International and the Tidewater Chapter since 1996 and has served on several task force teams at the International level. She currently is serving on the Mid-Atlantic Region Board as Chapter Advisor on Membership and Marketing and in addition to Chapter Treasurer is also our Membership Chair.
Lori is the Records Manager for Bayport Credit Union where she has workded for 28 years. She began the Records program there in 2004 where she manages the Records department, writes the retention policy, and manages the electronic and paper records of the membership. She has been a member of the Tidewater chapter of ARMA since 2005 and has served on the Board as Treasure and Secretary and also chairs the Financial/Audit committee.
Darlene is the Manager of Regulatory Documentation for Newport News Shipbuilding.
Having been employed there for 30 years, 27 of her years of service have been in the field of Records Management. In her current position, Darlene administers the Company’s comprehensive Records Management Program, as well as its Technical and Specifications Libraries. Aside from these responsibilities, she is also a Quality Lead Auditor, qualifying her to manage the planning and performance of Quality System Audits.
An active member of Tidewater ARMA, she has served on the Board in several capacities, and is currently Chapter President and Historian. Upon joining the Chapter in 1998, she immediately proceeded to integrate herself fully into the Chapter, signing up for service on several committees. In 1999, after only one year of membership, the Nominating Committee approached Darlene requesting that she consider a position on the Board as Vice-President. She answered the call and the rest is history. For twelve of her nineteen years in the Chapter, Darlene has served on the Board in some capacity.
